You want to enjoy parenthood…

You want to play more and yell less…

And you want to snuggle your children without cringing from feeling touched-out...

You’re in the right place!

You crave a strong, steady connection with your children, your partner, and yourself.

The only problem is. . .

  • You feel like you explode out of nowhere

  • You don’t enjoy playing because you do it “wrong,” it’s too loud, and your to-do list is always hovering over you

  • You pull away from snuggles because one more touch feels like needles into your skin

You wish you could wave a magic wand & just feel grounded for once!

Larissa Geleris, MS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

That’s where I come in.

I’m Larissa & I help parents like you with sensory and emotional regulation so they can enjoy parenthood!

I love working with parents, because I know how vital it is to care for your sensory needs in order to feel like yourself, and nourish your relationship with your children.

I am a mom, a wife, and an occupational therapist. I’ve spent my career working with children with sensory processing disorder (SPD) and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. From a clinical standpoint, I knew SPD. I knew the neurology, I knew how it affected function in daily life, and I knew how to create a targeted intervention that worked.

And then one day I went hiking and hit my head. I tried to shake it off, but something felt wrong. I was constantly on edge. It took me about two weeks to admit that this was something bigger than a minor bump on the head.

I was easily startled by touch, and a sneeze would make me cry. I’d back away if my toddler son ran towards me.  I’d blankly stare at my husband talking, realizing I had absolutely no idea what he was saying. I was in severe sensory dysregulation from a concussion. Once I connected the dots, I thought to myself, “No wonder the kids I work with have such frequent meltdowns! This feels so scary!”

As much as my family tried to help, they couldn’t understand. I couldn’t understand or articulate what was happening either. Not only that, but I had to navigate my needs, while also taking care of my children.

I felt utterly alone.

Now I’m here, on the other side of it, with a new mission: To help you, the parent, understand your own sensory needs, and use that knowledge to foster connection with yourself and your children

Your nervous system matters, and being regulated is physiologically necessary for a purposeful relationship.

My mission is to help you look for clues in your body and your environment to see what might be going on, so that you can be empowered to meet your needs and love your children with every ounce of motherly or fatherly love that you have (and I know that is a lot).

I’ve got your back, so you can have theirs.
